For a Rolls-Royce event in DIFC, Dubai, guests could choose the music they wanted to hear through an interactive iPad experience positioned beside the live musicians’ stage.
ECHT ME developed a touchscreen web app called Song Listener, presenting the music catalogue as a Spotify-inspired grid of album artwork. Guests could browse the available songs, tap into a full-screen view to see the artist and track details, and select a song to be played live by the musicians.
Once selected, the interface turned green to confirm the choice, while the song was removed from the available selection so each track could only be requested once. The selected song was simultaneously displayed inside the musicians’ booth, allowing the performers to see the guest’s request and play it live on stage.
The result was a simple but engaging connection between digital song discovery and live performance, turning the iPad into an interactive jukebox for the event. The app also stored selections locally and included a discreet reset function for staff to manage the playlist throughout the event.
