International Tourist Guide Day Registration and Check-In

International Tourist Guide Day celebrates the people who introduce visitors to a destination. The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi marked the occasion with a morning for the emirate’s licensed tourist guides at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, combining talks with an opportunity to connect with colleagues.

ECHT ME delivered the digital event experience, including the registration website, branded invitation and confirmation emails, personal QR codes and the check-in app. The experience followed the purple and coral identity of Experience Abu Dhabi throughout.

Guides registered using their contact details and tour guide licence number, with one registration allowed per email address. Once confirmed, each guest received a personal QR code for entry, while a waiting list was introduced automatically once all places were filled.

At the venue, hosts used the check-in app to scan guest QR codes and record arrivals, with name search available for guests without their code. A live dashboard gave the event team an overview of registrations and attendance, with the final guest list available for export.
