Augmented Reality (AR) Museum Guide

A famous Chinese proverb says, "One picture is worth a thousand words." This is what the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) was seeking in its Soil Museum Augmented Reality application to showcase useful information and research. Using Augmented Reality, ICBA wanted an iOS mobile application that visitors to the museum could use to access information on different kinds of soil tools, types of soil and rocks in the UAE.

With the help of Augmented Reality, the application provides useful information through a unique user experience that includes animations, images, videos, and 2D models. With a simple scan, users can access information about Soil Museum objects and drill down into specific details on each item. A virtual map directs and guides visitors through the museum.
