## Virtual reality for events and showrooms

Virtual reality (VR) places a person inside a 3D world through a headset. They can look around, move and use their hands to interact with what they see. It suits places and products that cannot be brought to an event, such as a building that is not built yet, a factory, or a journey to another city.

We build custom VR applications in Dubai, from the 3D environment to the interaction.

## VR as a live show

A headset is usually an experience for one person. For [Autodesk University in Dubai](https://echt.me/projects/autodesk-university-vr-performance), we turned it into a performance for the whole audience. An artist on stage built a virtual city from 3D wireframe models in real time, and a large LED wall showed the audience what the performer saw in virtual reality.

## Hands in place of controllers

With hand tracking, visitors use their own hands in the virtual world. Nobody has to learn buttons first, which matters when each guest only has a few minutes.

## Where VR works well

- **Showrooms and sales centres:** a walk through a property or a product before it exists.
- **Events and stage shows:** the view from the headset shown live on a big screen for everyone.
