Emaar, the developer behind Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai and The Dubai Mall, wanted to raise its brand recognition outside the Middle East. The International Film Festival in Cannes, France, brings together an international audience of film professionals, media and luxury travellers, which made it an ideal stage to present Emaar's portfolio to people who might not yet know the brand.

## The solution

ECHT developed an interactive touchscreen application that works like a digital coffee-table book. Visitors swipe through Emaar's most prestigious developments, and a menu bar takes them straight to each destination:

- Burj Khalifa
- Downtown Dubai – "The Centre of Now"
- Dubai Marina
- The Dubai Mall
- Armani Hotels & Resorts
- The Address Hotels + Resorts
- The Emaar Book

Each section pairs large-format photography with short editorial text, such as the design and development story of Burj Khalifa, so visitors can explore at their own pace without a guide or a printed brochure.

## At the festival

The installation was set up in several locations in the city of Cannes during the film festival. The application ran completely offline from locally stored content, so it stayed fast and reliable in busy public spaces, independent of any internet connection.

## The result

Emaar's landmarks were presented to an international audience in a hands-on format that invited people to stop, touch and explore, bringing a piece of Dubai to the French Riviera.
