Technology: Augmented Reality, Mobile and Web App Development
A famous Chinese proverb “One picture is worth thousand words”. This is what the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) was seeking in its Soil Museum Augmented Reality application to showcase useful information and research. Using Augmented Reality, ICBA wanted an IOS mobile application which visitors to the museum can use to get useful information on different kinds of soil tools, types of soil and rocks in the UAE.
With the help of Augmented Reality, the application provides helpful information, coupled with a unique user experience that includes animations, images, videos and 2D models. With a simple scan, the user will get information about Soil Museum objects with the ability to drill down to specific details on any particular item. A virtual map directs and guides the visitor through the museum.
