Nike partnered with the 2021 ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon as the official technical sponsor, leveraging this opportunity to promote fitness through an interactive sport experience in the fitness-dome. The dome featured a treadmill challenge where runners could compete with each other and the clock.
ECHT developed two applications to support the treadmill challenge, an iPad app to capture runners’ times and personal data, and a real-time leaderboard software that displays the top 20 fastest runners of the day by retrieving the latest data. The leaderboard was shown on multiple TV screens throughout the dome and fitness area, fostering a competitive atmosphere and enhancing the overall excitement of the event.
Furthermore, we developed an administrative backend that provided the client access to all data and allowed them to export it for deeper analysis and insights.
The event was a great success with thousands of registered participants.
